Scott Bridger, the Burlington Chamber of Commerce's director of membership and business development, has been named 2026 Staff Person of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Canada (CCEC), the Chamber announced on Instagram. CCEC is the national association for people who run and staff chambers of commerce. The Chamber says Bridger is the only person to win the award twice, for work at two different chambers.

The award goes to a chamber professional who has shown significant performance achievements, dedication to teamwork and a commitment to professional development. Nominees must be put forward by their chamber's chief staff person and must work full time. In Burlington, that top staff job belongs to president and CEO Terry Caddo.

The Chamber credits Bridger with helping grow its membership from 525 businesses when he joined in 2021 to more than 900 in Burlington and the surrounding area. As recently as May 2025, the Chamber described itself as representing over 800 businesses.

Bridger lives in Burlington. Before joining the local Chamber, he spent 21 years as vice-president of membership services at the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce, which had over 1,500 members. He is also a former president of CCEC.
