Craftadian is a market where everything on the tables has to be handmade, made in Canada and made by the person selling it; organizers pick the vendors from applicants. It fills the Ron Joyce Centre at 4350 South Service Rd. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. Craftadian says 120 makers are coming over the weekend, more than 65 of them on Saturday, and the lineup changes on Sunday.

One pass covers both days: $5 bought online or $6 at the door. Children 16 and under get in free, and parking is free too, with Craftadian picking up the bill.

Across town, Grace United Church at 2111 Walkers Line is once again hosting Candy Cane Traditions, its artisan sale with baking, Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Adults pay $2 to get in.

For something sweeter, the Burlington Christmas Butter Tart & Artisan Market sets up in the hallway by the food court at Burlington Centre, 777 Guelph Line, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Expect butter tarts, other sweet treats, baked goods and artisan stalls. The organizer, Gotta Luv Butter Tarts, says every vendor spot is taken.

A fourth option, the Lakeside Wrapped In Wonder Holiday Market, opens at St. Luke's Parish Hall at 10 a.m. Saturday.

For a night out after the shopping, Drury Lane's 8 p.m. Saturday performance of A Christmas Story, The Musical, the stage version of the holiday film, is billed as a Holiday Spirit Night. Check ticket availability before you go.

Miss Craftadian this weekend and the next chance is in Hamilton, where its holiday market runs Saturday, Dec. 5, and Sunday, Dec. 6, at McMaster Innovation Park.
