A plan for three commercial buildings at 1040 Louis St. Laurent Avenue, owned by Fieldgate, goes before Milton's Committee of Adjustment and Consent on Thursday, Nov. 12. The owner is asking for minor variances, small exceptions to the zoning bylaw's rules, to make the development possible.
The committee is the Town panel that rules on those exceptions and on splitting land into new lots, and it hears from neighbours before deciding. The meeting runs from 6 to 7 p.m. in Council Chambers at Town Hall, 150 Mary Street, where applicants and anyone interested can take part in person.
Also on the agenda is 8105 Esquesing Line, where the owner wants to expand a building supply outlet. Town staff found the business is legal non-conforming, meaning it predates the current zoning, so it needs a variance to keep operating as part of the expansion.
Variances for 7095 Fifth Line and 2100 Labrador Avenue follow the conditional approval on Sept. 10 of a request to split each building and its parking onto its own lot.
At 75 Miles Street, the existing house and garage would be torn down for a new two-storey home that covers more of the lot than the bylaw allows, with a reduced setback on one side and a reduced garage setback.
After this hearing, the committee next meets Thursday, Jan. 28, 2027, at 6 p.m.
