A Burlington minor hockey team spent a day on the ice with P.K. Subban this summer, filming the commercial for food company Dr. Oetker Canada's Practice with a Pro contest, the U11 Burlington Bulldogs (Gold) said on Instagram.

The team tagged the former NHL player by his Instagram handle, @subbanator. "He was so great with the kids and was so fun to spend the day with!" the post said.

The team also asked followers on Instagram whether they had spotted the kids during a Leafs game.

The ad runs under Dr. Oetker's Giuseppe brand and pitches the contest as a celebration of great teammates, the kind of players who support each other. In it, Subban says the teammates he remembers most from his career are "the players who make everyone around them better."
