The City of Burlington has awarded CSL Group Ltd a $457,451.30 contract to supply equipment and operators to plow, salt and shovel city parking lots and walkways. It's the same company that won the City's sidewalk plowing and salting contract in 2024, a deal worth $1,315,537.53.
CSL's price wasn't the lowest of the six bids. Marquee Landscapes offered to do the work for $375,177.40. Partridge Fine Landscapes Ltd. bid $512,672.84, and the highest offer, from 1942537 Ontario Ltd., came in at $1,456,005.07.
In 2020, the City tendered a similar job covering downtown municipal lots, museums and animal control. Cedar Springs Landscape Group Inc. won it for $68,252.00; CSL bid $82,254.96 and lost.
