Both of Nelson High School's football teams are playing for Halton championships after semifinal shutouts at home on Thursday, Nov. 5. The juniors beat Iroquois Ridge 43-0 and the seniors beat Georgetown 45-0, according to results posted by the Halton Secondary School Athletic Association, which runs high school sports across the region.
The junior Lords went into the playoffs as the No. 1 seed and hosted the Iroquois Ridge Wolfpack at Nelson Stadium. Nelson's team site says the juniors are out to reclaim their spot at the top of the Halton league this year.
