The average Halton Hills home that sold in October 2026 went for $1,050,158, up from $960,832 in September, according to figures from real estate website RoofUp. Most buyers still paid less than the seller wanted: 85.5 per cent of sales closed below the asking price.
The numbers cover 62 closed sales in the MLS resale data the site holds, the listing system agents use to sell homes. RoofUp says they are not official figures from the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (TRREB) or the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA). An average is also not a valuation of any one house: a month with more large detached homes changing hands can lift it even if no single home gained value.
The rise showed up in freehold homes and condos. Freehold homes, where the buyer owns the land as well as the house, climbed past $1.1 million on average, and condos also gained. Townhouses averaged $703,333; RoofUp gave no September figure for them. The median price, the point where half of homes sold for more and half for less, was $972,000, below the average.
| Measure | September | October |
|---|---|---|
| Average price, all homes | $960,832 | $1,050,158 |
| Freehold average | $1,011,782 | $1,144,894 |
| Condo average | $541,667 | $585,000 |
| Sold below asking | 92.5% | 85.5% |

Homes sat on the market longer, taking 33 days on average to sell compared with 23 in September. Sellers got 96.4 per cent of their list price on average, and 12.9 per cent of sales went over asking. The share selling below asking eased from September, when RoofUp concluded that "buyers have negotiating leverage," but it remained the large majority.
October's average sits between the start of the year and last winter: RoofUp put it at $1,022,781 in December 2025 and $1,084,594 in January 2026. The priciest sale of the month was $3,080,000.
Among neighbours, Halton Hills landed in the middle in October, cheaper on average than Caledon and pricier than Milton.
