The Milton Players Theatre Group, Milton's volunteer community theatre, opens The Cottage, a farce by Sandy Rustin, on Friday, Nov. 6 at 8 p.m. in MinMaxx Hall at the FirstOntario Arts Centre.

Farce is comedy built on secrets, mix-ups and bad timing, and this one starts with a rendezvous. Sylvia and Beau meet at an English countryside cottage for their yearly meeting.

Rosanna Armata directs. Emily Hale plays Sylvia and Constantine Karolidis plays Beau, with Sean Carsley as Clarke, Arnay Avdic as Richard, Alex Zych as Marjorie and Courtney Bailey as Dierdre. Paresh Karkhanis is assistant director, Mary Camastra is producer and Sandra Curran is stage manager. Armata was one of the all-female slate of directors behind the group's previous Laugh-Out-Loud Season.

There are seven performances from Nov. 6 to 14: evening shows at 8 p.m. and two afternoon matinees, on Sunday, Nov. 8 and Saturday, Nov. 14, the closing day.
