Burlington is the host city for the 8th annual Zero Emission Transit & Mobility Conference, organized by CUTRIC. Mayor Marianne Meed Ward, re-elected Monday, said in a post on Instagram that she welcomed the group to the city on Wednesday, Oct. 28.
Meed Ward says the city is advancing the electrification of its transit fleet to cut emissions, and is investing in better transit with more service and more frequent connections. That work includes a previously announced electric-bus pilot.
