Jacob Schooley, Evan Morrow and Kaylen Chu are the Burlington Teen Tour Band's newest drum majors. The band announced the appointments in an Instagram post. The post also names Sonia Ollivierre as a drum major.

The band's handbook calls drum major the highest position a member can hold in the organization. Drum majors march at the front, leading the band on parade and signalling the music and the marching to the players behind them. The band performs regularly through parade season.

Both of the band's current leaders have held the role. Francis Smith, now its music director, became one of its drum majors in 2000 and kept the post until he retired as a member in 2005. Jeff Thomblison, the managing director, was a drum major in his own time as a member. The City of Burlington hired him in the summer of 2024 as its director of band and music services, which made him the band's managing director.

The band said it looks forward to what the new drum majors will bring to it.
