Five Burlington Cougars players have been selected for the Zach Hyman OJHL Prospects Series, the Ontario Junior Hockey League's showcase for its top 16- and 17-year-olds, the team announced in an Instagram post. Cougars coach Mark Jooris is one of the league's West Conference coaches for the series.

Calder Anderson, Zaiden Hraiche and Ben Lamb are on Team Grey, which Jooris will lead as head coach; the team's post lists the assistant coach only as Kirby. Ben Santerre is on Team Gold, and goaltender Paddy Landry is on Team Black. Landry made 44 saves in his hometown for his fourth win of the season.

The league says this year's group includes Ontario Hockey League draft picks, from the top tier of junior hockey in the province, and players already committed to NCAA schools, the U.S. college route. Last year's first edition featured 90 OHL draft selections, and numerous players moved up to the OHL.

Six teams, three from each of the league's East and West conferences, play seven games. The series opens Monday, Nov. 2, at the CAA Centre in Brampton, with puck drop at 12:30 p.m.
