A pedestrian was taken to hospital on the morning of Friday, Oct. 30, after a collision with a Burlington Transit bus near Cavendish Drive and Coventry Way, the City of Burlington says.
The crash happened at about 8:53 a.m. on Route 2, and emergency services attended.
Burlington Transit, the City-run bus service, says it is reviewing the circumstances of Friday's crash.
It came about a week after another pedestrian was struck in Burlington. On the evening of Thursday, Oct. 22, at about 7:38 p.m., Halton police, the regional force that covers Burlington, were called to Mainway near Walkers Line. Police said a man crossing Mainway was struck by a westbound car.
The next day, Oct. 23, police reported that the man, 91, had died of his injuries. Because of how seriously he was hurt, the force's Collision Reconstruction Unit, a team of officers who piece together how serious crashes happened, took over that investigation.
