Burlington Cougars forward Ty Daniels has scored in four games since Oct. 16. His latest, his 14th of the season, came in a 7-4 win over the Georgetown Raiders on Saturday, Oct. 24.
Daniels also set up goals in Georgetown: power-play goals by Morin and Keeler, plus one by Anderson.
It started against the Oakville Blades on Oct. 16. Daniels scored his 10th goal on the power play, then ended the game 0:52 into overtime with his 11th. The 5-4 win gave the Cougars their fourth victory in a row.
That winning streak ended in Collingwood on Oct. 18, where the Cougars lost 8-6, though Daniels scored his 12th. Back home against the Milton Menace on Friday, Oct. 23, he scored his 13th on his own while Burlington was short a player, at 7:28 of the second period, in a 5-2 win.
It's quite a climb from the first weekend of October, when Daniels scored his fourth of the season against the defending champion Toronto Patriots.
He's part of a high-powered attack. Before the Georgetown game, the Cougars had the league's second-highest-scoring offence, with 85 goals, or 4.7 a game.
"I think we’re a really good team," Daniels said in an interview published by the Cougars.
The Cougars are back home this week, hosting the Pickering Panthers on Tuesday, Oct. 27, and the Toronto Warriors on Friday, the team said.
