Riders on Burlington Transit's Route 25 Walkers should allow up to 10 extra minutes. Construction on Walkers Line between North Service Road and Upper Middle Road may delay buses, the transit service says.

The alert runs in eight separate periods from 7 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, until 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5. Bus stops may close or move on a rolling basis during the work.

The construction has already shut stops on that stretch for Route 25 and Route 51 riders: northbound since Sept. 18 and southbound since Sept. 23, under alerts set to run until Oct. 31. Burlington Transit said temporary stops would be set up at safe spots near major intersections.

The City awarded its Walkers Line Renewal contract, covering North Service Road to Dundas Street, to Pave-Al Limited for $12.1 million.

Riders can check real-time bus information and see which stops are open on Burlington Transit's online route map.
