Anyone planning to build or renovate in Halton Hills can weigh in on a proposed increase to the Town's building permit fees at a public meeting on Monday, Nov. 9.

The meeting covers the Town's 2027 rates and fees for building permits, the approvals homeowners and builders need before new construction, additions and many renovations. It is being held under Section 7 of Ontario's Building Code Act, the provincial law that governs building permits and lets municipalities charge fees for them.

The report setting out the proposed fees was to be posted Friday, Oct. 30, on the Town's Municipal Calendar, the online listing of council and committee meetings and their documents, the Town said.

The meeting is hybrid. People can attend in person at Town Hall or join online through Zoom using webinar ID 833 6697 8637.
