Tandoori Tikka Lounge on Guelph Street in Halton Hills cleared up two cleaning and sanitation problems within a day. Halton Region Public Health inspectors returned on Friday, Nov. 6, and found both items in compliance.
The problems turned up at a routine inspection on Thursday, Nov. 5, according to the Region's inspection results. Two of the seven items checked were out of compliance at the end of that visit: whether equipment and utensils are properly cleaned, sanitized and maintained, and whether the premises are kept clean and sanitary. Public Health, the regional department that inspects restaurants and other food businesses, classes both as non-critical and set a follow-up deadline of the next day.
Inspectors also flagged a critical item on food temperatures that day. It was corrected during the visit.
At the Friday follow-up, the food temperature item was marked not applicable.
By Lokul's count of the inspection records it has collected, the restaurant was one of two of the 11 Halton Hills food premises inspected between Oct. 6 and Nov. 5 with any item out of compliance; the other nine had every item in order.
It is also the restaurant's second follow-up visit of 2026. Its record lists a routine inspection on March 16 followed by a re-inspection on March 20, then a routine inspection on July 16.
Under Dinewise, Halton's food safety disclosure program, every food business must post its Certificate of Inspection where customers can see it and hand over a summary inspection report on request. The Region says results go up on its disclosure portal as soon as an inspection or complaint investigation is finished.
