The bronze game is a rematch of last year's final, which Canada Red won 6-3. Canada White captain Maddox Schultz is back for a second tournament after taking silver last year. Canada White won gold in 2023 and 2024, and the United States won in 2022, according to Hockey Canada's record book.

Czechia has now beaten both Canadian teams. It opened the tournament on Sunday, Nov. 1, by beating Canada White 6-4 with five goals in the second period. Canada White bounced back to beat Finland 8-6 in the quarterfinals, while Canada Red, which beat the Americans 6-4 in the round-robin on Nov. 2, routed Sweden 6-1.

This is the 34th edition of the tournament, which brings together two Canadian teams and four international entries. It is the first step in Hockey Canada's Program of Excellence, the national body's path for developing players toward its national teams. More than 2,000 future NHL draft picks have played in it since it began in 1986.

Both final games are at the 1,500-seat Sixteen Mile Sports Complex, 3070 Neyagawa Blvd. Fans can also buy tickets for the tournament's 50/50 draw, which supports the Oakville Rangers Hockey Club.
