The Oakville Hornets' U15AA McGarrity team beat the Stratford Aces 3-2 on Saturday, Nov. 7. It was the team's fourth win in a row, all in tournament play at Joshua's Creek. U15 is minor hockey's under-15 age group, and AA is one of its more competitive levels.
All four games were played on the Blue rink at Joshua's Creek over Friday and Saturday. The Hornets were listed as the home side against Kingston and Central York.
| Date | Opponent | Score |
|---|---|---|
| Nov. 6 | Kingston Ice Wolves | 2-1 |
| Nov. 6 | Waterloo Ravens | 3-2 |
| Nov. 7 | Central York Panthers | 5-2 |
| Nov. 7 | Stratford Aces | 3-2 |
The run was built on tight finishes. Three of the four wins came by a single goal, including a 2-1 win over the Kingston Ice Wolves and a 3-2 win over the Waterloo Ravens on Friday. The one comfortable win came earlier Saturday, when the Hornets beat the Central York Panthers 5-2 before edging Stratford.
Not every Hornets team had a winning Saturday, a day the association posted results from 12 games. The REP U15A Brown team, another under-15 side that plays one level below AA, saw its five-game winning streak end with a 2-1 loss to the East Coast Wizards.
