Burlington's Dayna Schols has won the Judges Choice Award in the 2026 Pickling Competition at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair for her mango habanero salsa, according to the fair's Champions Showcase, its online list of this year's winners.
The Royal, as the fair is known, bills itself as the largest combined indoor agriculture fair and international equestrian competition in the world. This year marks its 104th.
The pickling entries were judged Tuesday, Oct. 27. The competition's Premier Exhibitor awards went to Caroline Loucks of Toronto, named Amateur Premier Exhibitor, and Wendy Mahoney of Warkworth, who took Professional Premier Exhibitor.
The fair runs Nov. 6 to 15 at Exhibition Place in Toronto.
