Billings Court Manor, a long-term care home in Burlington, had both food-safety items flagged by Halton Region Public Health rated in compliance when an inspector came back on Tuesday, Oct. 27, a day after a routine inspection.

At the routine visit on Monday, Oct. 26, the home at 3700 Billings Court was found out of compliance on two items, according to public health's inspection results. One, a critical item, covers whether food is cooked, cooled and stored at proper temperatures. The other, a non-critical item, covers whether equipment and utensils are properly cleaned, sanitized and maintained. Public health set the next day as the deadline for a follow-up on both.

That same Oct. 26 inspection rated the home's other critical item, whether food comes from approved sources and is protected from contamination, in compliance.

The re-inspection rated only the two flagged items. The other five, including food handler training and hygiene, were listed as not applicable.

The home's inspection history also lists a routine inspection on July 17 and a re-inspection on July 24.
