Burlington parents with kids home on Friday, Nov. 27, 2026, have a new option: The Velveteen Rabbit at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre (BPAC). The centre says the show for its education community is now open to the public as well.

The performance starts at 12:30 p.m., and tickets are $15 each.

That Friday is a PA Day for elementary and secondary students on the Halton District School Board calendar. PA Days are for staff only, so there are no classes for students.

The show reimagines the classic tale and centres on the bond between the Velveteen Rabbit and the Girl. It's produced by Rule of Three, a female-led theatre collective.

Because the show is part of BPAC's ONSTAGE Arts Education Series, it runs 60 minutes with no intermission. School groups will be in the audience.

Tickets are available through the link in the centre's Instagram bio under Upcoming Events, or from the box office at 440 Locust Street, 905-681-6000. The box office is open to the public Tuesday to Saturday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., and one hour before a performance.
