Families heading to the Santa Claus parade on Sunday, Dec. 6, will have somewhere to thaw out first. The Burlington Lions Club's Parade Day Pop-Up at the club's hall, 471 Pearl St., will offer washrooms, hot cocoa and parking on site.

The pop-up runs from noon to 3 p.m.; the parade runs 2 to 4 p.m.

Organizers say there will also be crafts, food trucks and a visit from the Grinch himself.

The Lions Club, a volunteer service club, took over presenting the Burlington Festival of Lights, the city's holiday light celebration, in 2025. It spread the festival beyond Spencer Smith Park, the downtown waterfront park, with new light installations and family events.

Details for the 2026 pop-up are on the festival's event listing.
