Tickets are now on sale for Royal Botanical Gardens' Winter Wonders. The holiday light show returns to Hendrie Park in Burlington on select nights from Thursday, Nov. 26, to Sunday, Jan. 3.

Sales opened Wednesday, Oct. 28, and entry is by timed ticket only, according to RBG's event page. RBG calls Winter Wonders its signature winter experience and says it welcomes about 40,000 visitors over five weeks.

The show runs Thursday through Sunday, plus select other nights, from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. The ticket page lists extra weeknights over the holidays: Monday, Dec. 21, through Wednesday, Dec. 23, and Monday, Dec. 28, through Wednesday, Dec. 30. It is closed Dec. 24, 25, 26 and 31 and Jan. 1.

RBG says returning favourites The Singing Tree and Lantern Alley will be joined by new art installations from Canadian and international artists. Indoors, it promises seasonal displays in the Mediterranean Garden and Breezeway and a Botanical Train Display.

The Vendor Village holiday market is back for its second year, with five heated wooden cabins set near the installations, a concession stand and washrooms. RBG says it will feature a rotating selection of local vendors selling handcrafted goods.

Visitors park in the large lot outside RBG Centre, go in through the centre and reach Hendrie Park through a tunnel on the lower level of the Atrium. The site, at 680 Plains Road West, can also be reached by public transit.

The event is supported by TD and Stoneridge Insurance, RBG said in its Instagram announcement.

Ahead of opening night, Hendrie Park closes to daytime visitors from Monday, Nov. 16, through Wednesday, Nov. 25.
