Milton library cardholders who want one more free instructor-led online course have a week left. The last session of Gale Courses, the online learning service offered through Milton Public Library, starts Wednesday, Nov. 11, and the library says it will discontinue the service after Dec. 31.

The service offers interactive online classes, free to cardholders. Each course is led by an instructor, with new material posted weekly. Until now, new sessions have started every month and learners worked at their own pace, so the November session is the last chance to begin one.

Anyone who starts that session is on a tight schedule:

Nov. 11, 2026Final course session starts
Dec. 18, 2026Courses end and final exams are released

Don't count on the last day. The library's notice says access to all course content ends Jan. 1, 2027, but its web page for the service gives Dec. 31, 2026. The library is encouraging current users to complete any active courses before the end of the year.

To sign up for the final session, you need a valid Milton Public Library card and a Gale Courses account.

Once the courses are gone, the library points cardholders to its eResources page, which lists other online learning options available with a library card.
