Little ghosts and superheroes can parade through six Burlington Public Library branches on Halloween morning. The library's free Halloween Party & Parade runs from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, with music, crafts, games and a costume parade.
The parties are at the Central, Aldershot, Alton, Brant Hills, New Appleby and Tansley Woods branches, according to the library's event listings. All six are free.
Brant Hills families get their branch back just in time: it reopened Thursday, Oct. 15, after an extended closure for construction at the community centre.
New Appleby, now at the Robert Bateman Community Centre at 5151 New St., keeps the fun going Saturday afternoon. At 2 p.m., its free Family STEAM: Build a Spooky Village session has families design and decorate a building for a Halloween village using cardboard and craft supplies.
Can't wait until Saturday? The Alton and New Appleby branches each hold a free Halloween Storytime the morning before, at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30.
The library's full list of Halloween events is at bpl.on.ca/halloween.
