Riders on Route 25 Walkers will be using temporary stops into the new year. Burlington Transit, the city's bus service, has extended the closure of its stops on Walkers Line between North Service Road and Upper Middle Road, in both directions, until Jan. 9, 2027. The stops had been due to reopen Oct. 31.

Construction on the same stretch may also make trips longer. Burlington Transit warns riders to expect up to 10 minutes of extra travel time between 7 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6, and 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13. The alert covers eight separate periods that week. Rolling stop closures and relocations may also take place while crews work.

The stop closures last longer than the delay warning. Northbound stops on that section first closed Sept. 18, and southbound stops followed on Sept. 23. While they're shut, temporary stops are provided near major intersections as conditions on the street allow.
