Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School students are collecting food for the Burlington Food Bank on Thursday, Oct. 29, the school announced on Instagram, calling the drive Halloween For Hunger.

Home pickup is only for residents who received the school's flyer. If you got one, the school asks that donations be on your front porch by 5 p.m. Thursday, and students will collect them from there.

No flyer? You can still give. The school says donations can be dropped off at Notre Dame, 2333 Headon Forest Dr., until noon on Friday, Oct. 30. Every donation goes to the food bank.

The Burlington Food Bank says use in the city is at a record high. It supports 5,660 people at its food bank location alone, plus hundreds more at partnering Mini Markets. The food bank has been urging residents to donate, volunteer or host a food drive this holiday season.
